Design of Final Piece

Here is my final design for my piece, it will be a digital rendered book from start to finish. The drawings and construction of the book will be made digitally. However, the only thing that will not be digitally rendered is the front cover and paper which I will make and then photograph.
So my final piece will be a book which will be made on the computer and is in the style of Leonardo Da Vinci and on the theme of Greek Myths and Monsters.

Mockups

For my Mockup I have decided to make a book on the computer that you can turn and it feels like you really have control over the book as if it were in your hands. The reason for me deciding this is because having a computer generated book is how I want my finished piece to look and be displayed.

I have also designed two ways of displaying the content of my work.

The first way is…

This design is my favourite out of the two because it is a double spread so that means that I am not controlled by any box size to full and all I have to do is fill the page with a drawing and some text about the creature. Also this gives a feeling of having more space on the page and it being much more free and inviting.

The Second way is…

This is the other design which I feel is to cramped on the page and looks like it was thrown together without any thought or consideration. Also it gives the impression that the creator did not understand how it should look or feel as a finished piece.

Inspiration

The inspiration for my projects art work is Leonardo Da Vinci because of his work in his journals of human and animal anatomy drawings, for the reason that I am not a great artists and Da Vinci's journals have a sketchy feel about them which also suits my idea for my finished piece. (To see more about Leonardo Da Vinci or why he is my inspiration.)
