The Project

The project is the fifth piece of coursework of Creative and Media Diploma. It was preceded by Unit 1: Exploring Creativity, Unit 2: Creating Inspiration, Unit 3: Creating Possibilities and Unit 4: Creating a game.

The project is coursework which is entirely down to the students; there is no input from teachers to there work, if a student wants to find out any think new e.g. a new skill on flash they will have to research and implemented it them self. So the project is a solely personal piece of coursework with no strings attach or constraints to deal with.

This years project has a stimulus to give the students a starting point. This years stimulus is to do with the word "Memories." The students will be going on a trip to Pitt Rivers a museum of "Anthropology and world Archaeology, to find an object to start there creative response to the stimulus.

The Brief:

You need to create an outcome that relates back to the theme of "Memories." You need to research, develop, design and create a final piece that relates to or from your object. Remember it is important to show how working with one or more practitioners has enabled you to develop your work. Your final outcome can be in any of two disciplines I.e. Music, Media or Art. For example you could produce an instillation / a piece of music inspired by the brief / a piece of advertising. It is up to you. You need to document your creative journey through a sketchbook or via a blog.

The completed production log including the project proposal form.
